Mistfall Hunter News and Updates
Read the latest dated Mistfall Hunter news, launch FAQ, performance changes, class balance notes, and pricing details with official sources.
This Mistfall Hunter news digest covers the latest official launch information visible in the game's Steam announcement feed: the launch FAQ, the final pre-launch development note, and the pricing/content announcement. Each summary separates the post date from the date a change took effect and links to the developer's original entry.
Last updated: August 2, 2026. Coverage: July 17, 2026 through July 24, 2026. At the time of this review, July 24 was the newest dated item visible in the official Steam announcement feed; use the linked feed for anything published after this snapshot.
July 24, 2026 — Official Launch FAQ
Published: July 24, 2026. Effective: the global launch at July 30, 2026, 01:00 UTC; this is July 29 in parts of the Americas.
The official FAQ confirmed one global unlock, no pre-download, Standard and Deluxe edition pricing, the launch discount window, cross-platform matchmaking, supported controllers, Steam Family Sharing conditions, launch server locations, and PC requirements. It also documented a North American compliance restriction for relevant store accounts rather than presenting every region issue as a matchmaking bug.
The pricing listed in the FAQ was $24.99 for Standard, $39.99 for Deluxe, and $15 for a later upgrade. The 10% introductory discount was scheduled from July 30 at 01:00 UTC until August 12 at 17:00 UTC. Because there was no preload, the unlock time was also the earliest download time.
What this changes for players
Players diagnosing a launch delay should distinguish “the game has not unlocked” from “the download has not completed.” Cross-platform matchmaking is officially supported, but crossplay does not automatically prove unrestricted cross-region grouping; use the crossplay and region guide for that separate question. The PC requirements and SSD recommendation also matter when working through the crashes and stuttering guide.
July 24, 2026 — DevNote #7
Published: July 24, 2026. Effective: the launch build released July 29/30, 2026 depending on local date.
DevNote #7 described launch-version performance work, including shader-related loading-stutter improvements, device-based default settings, tuning for consoles and lower-end PCs, better Camp frame rate, and more responsive inventory/map behavior. It also introduced the reworked Path of Glory ranked system and previewed launch balance changes.
The class section matters to build readers. The note described Mercenary adjustments to parry feel, PvE efficiency, Skullcrusher steering, and Hammer or Shield interactions. It also framed launch as the point where the Withered Knight's Polearm and Shield option, broader class changes, and Season 1 content would become available. This is why a build labeled only for an earlier beta should not be treated as current without another check.
What this changes for players
Players with first-load hitches should test the current launch build before applying invasive workarounds, because the developer specifically addressed shader and device tuning. Build readers should use version-labeled pages: the six current class builds on this site were reviewed against launch references on August 2, not copied from an older beta list. Ranked progression advice also needs to use Path of Glory terminology rather than retired beta leaderboards.
July 17, 2026 — Official Launch Announcement
Published: July 17, 2026. Event date: the global launch at July 30, 2026, 01:00 UTC, displayed as July 29 on the Steam storefront and in American time zones.
The launch announcement settled the game's purchase model before release. It listed the Standard and Deluxe prices, the upgrade path, the introductory discount, and the cosmetic role of Fate Coins. It also previewed launch content, including the Withered Knight's additional Polearm and Shield weapon archetype.
This announcement and the later FAQ describe the same unlock moment even when storefronts show different calendar dates. The difference is a timezone presentation, not evidence of separate regional release waves. Steam currently records the store release as July 29, while the official communication used July 30 at 01:00 UTC.
What this changes for players
Use the actual storefront price for the account's currency and region; the dollar prices are the official reference, not a promise that every store converts them identically. The new weapon archetype also means a pre-launch Withered Knight guide can be structurally incomplete. For platform, pricing, and Game Pass context, see the release and access guide.

Current practical status
- Game state: launched; Steam records July 29, 2026, while the official UTC unlock was July 30 at 01:00.
- Guide baseline: pages marked
Launchwere reviewed for the release build, but balance-sensitive builds still require a new check after any class patch. - Known-issue rule: a player report is not an official known issue until the developer documents it. Community workarounds remain labeled on the relevant troubleshooting page.
- Live feed: open the official Steam announcements index for posts newer than this dated snapshot.
How we verify updates
This digest uses individual official announcement URLs as the factual source. Summaries are written in original language and focus on player impact; they do not reproduce the full posts. Publication dates describe when the developer posted the item, while effective/event dates describe when a launch, discount, balance package, or event became active.
If an official post changes a platform fact, build mechanic, or support recommendation, the affected guide should be updated with a new checked date. Community discussion may identify demand or a reported problem, but it does not replace the developer's announcement for patch facts.
